We have two PC all WinXP, also we are using DSL connection (share by 2 PC) but sometimes other PC ( the shared one) are having problems in connection and sometimes i have to disable and inable the LAN to gain back the connection. I do this almost everyday. Our connection in Main PC is working fine and configured manually both the DSL and LAN, the shared PC is authomatic cause it won't work manually. What might be the cause of this problem?

I am going to guess that the first computer is set up for Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) whereas the second computer is connected to the first using a hub or switch? The first computer in this scenario is called the DHCP server which will give the other it's unique IP address. If the second one fails to connect, it is because the DHCP server is not renewing it's IP address. Right click the second systems connection and go to properties. Then go to the TCP/IP tab. Select use alternate. Then copy everything from the first computer's settings to the second computer. Change the first setting by one number. Let's say that the first one is:
154.25.1.5 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 domain of 154.25.0.1 Then the second computer will need to have the first number changed to 154.25.1.25 using the same subnet mask and domain. This will force the IP without relying on the DHCP server. Other wise you will have to continually reboot the first to reset the server, then reboot the second to obtain the new IP. My site below under Network Talk has an in depth troubleshooting section. Hope this helps
