Sure it might be boring because he just sits all day and ponders, but this dude is the "DEVOURER OF WORLDS" Damn it.

Regrettably, a movie devoted soley to Galactus truly wouldn't sell too well to the general audience. However, those of us that are comic book geeks would probably spend the money on one, but I doubt it would be worth the money and time invested to make. Galactus IS a great character, but I hope he shows his purple a.s.s. in the upcoming Fantastic Four 2: Rise of the Silver Surfer movie. I am excited about the possibility of seeing Galactus on the silver screen sometime soon, even if it isn't until a third Fantastic Four movie. Don't get too depressed; he'll show up soon!!

Because there's not enough demand for it. The only people familiar with Galactus are the comic geeks like us on this forum. And therefore we're more or less the only people who would pay to see such a film. (And actually, I'm not sure I would pay to see a Galactus movie myself 1) because he doesn't do a whole lot on his own; the point of him as a character is to cause action by other characters who are the center of the story and 2) because Marvel would undoubtably make a hash out of a Galactus movie just like they did with the Hulk, Fantastic Four, Punisher, etc...

He can't get his own movie because as powerful as the giant purple one is he spend most of his time in his ship, or empowering his heralds. Imagine a three hour movie with Galactus sitting in a huge room and ocasionally a guy shows up is granted powers and leaves. How fun....!
Now a movie about Thanos...! Imagine the possibilites!

There isn't much of a story for someone that just sits around and devours worlds. unless he decides to get off his big a** and fight someother big giant that also devours worlds. now that would make a great movie.
