Install the microdrive. It should show up a E:, F:, G:, or some new drive letter. Then open up My Computer, navigate to
c:\documents and settings\username\
and copy the Favorites folder onto the microdrive. You can just drag and drop it onto the microdrive to make a copy.

Put your microdrive in. Then open internet explorer and click on File, Import and Export. Export your favorites, and change the drive letter to the microdrive by browsing to it.
You can do the same with cookies, but be careful because cookies can sometimes hold passwords and if you lose your microdrive, somebody else has access to your passwords.
