my bff told me that I needed 2 get a makeover!! I took it personally! what do I do? im mad at her for waht she said although sometimes I think its the truth! but im myself so she can get over it!

I think you just solved your own problem (the last sentence should do the trick) It depends on how she said it really, but honestly I would never have negative people around me like that on purpose. If someone cant see the beauty inside and out, then they can bug off. What is she embarrassed to go out with you or something. I have went to a bar in my sweatpants before( no crap) and me and my friends still had a ball......you know why because they loved me no matter how I looked on a particularly rough day lol..... Maybe you just got the answer you are looking for , if you are constantly complaining about your looks or the fact that you cant get a date, maybe she was just trying to help......Talk to her about how it made you feel and give her a chance to clarify if she seemed a little harsh. If you are truly bff then you can work it out

she is your bff so its probably the truth. she wont just say that to hurt you.maybe you should ,talk to her about what need improvement.Or tell her to nominate you for "what not to wear" if you like the show(its on TLC) and the advice. i think they do good with givin comfortable makeovers you can apply everyday and they give you 5000 dollars to spend on a new warddrobe and hair and make up too

Well, you could take it offensively, like you are. Or you actually get a new look. Maybe your friend wasn't being mean, maybe she just wants you to get a fresh more 'in' look. Didn't you even say, "although sometimes i think it's the truth."
If you think it's the truth to yourself, why is it such a biggie that SHE said it?
