It can be. For some women regular menstrual cycles don't occur for up to 18 months, although 4-6 is the average. If you go for more than another 3 months, I would recommend making an appointment with your doctor.

I was on the depo shot for two years as well, i stopped having a period about a year into it. I got of it in January of '05 and i didn't have regular periods at all until i got pregnant in September of '05 it took me longer then a month to figure out i was pregnant because my periods were skipping months all the time. It took me three and a half months to even get my period back after i got off the shot. So that is pretty much normal for the depo shot.If it lasts much longer i would ask a doctor about it though just to be on the safe side.

hello Cerina,
it is not uncommon, after being on Depo-Provera for any length of time, that when you stop, that you do not have a period for any length of time. sometimes it takes 3 to 6 months to get back to normal.....don't worry...most everybody experiences this. And if you stress about it then it may prolong your period starting even longer.

i hope this has been helpful to you and Good luck.
