here are just a few ideas:

-engine swap another Honda engine into it (everything you need for a H22a swap should be around $2000-$2500, B series are nice also and cost a little less, K series is newer and more costly, but have the most potential also)
-new camshafts
-new headers
-coilover suspension
-fuel injectors
-catback exhaust, or just redo the piping with somewhere around 2.25" pipe
-get rid of the crappy stock intake and put a cold air intake in its place, and i would just make sure it either has an AEM or K&N filter for it
-braided steel brake line
-spark plugs and wires
-AEM fuel rail
-new brake pads
-drilled and slotted rotors
-strut tower bar set
-adjustable fuel pump

you could also upgrade engine internals. maybe put some iron sleeves, upgrades pistons, valves and springs, etc. and then put a turbo with an intercooler on it, or if you want to go straight motor then replace the internals and overbore it. Also if you're turboing it, use lower compression pistons, but higher compression pistons if you're going NA.

Oh yeah, and some people tell you to use NOS, but I would seriously think twice about doing that without upgrading the engine internals. NO2 raises the temperature in your engine so much so fast that your engine won't last very long when using it on stock internals.

get a turbo or supercharger fitted to it. change the manifold and exhaush systems , get perfomance plugs and intake . get codes to improve the timing and engine out put. add some NOS for a super fast charge. or you can save a lot and but a more powerful car

The Accord is a car, and, based on the wording of your question, is faster, The Ram Short Bed is a truck.
