For a week 7 nights 8 days including travel by car, meals on the way, one sit down meal per day, 2 counter service, tickets for Disney and Sea World and on site value hotel we spend almost $3000. Then we usually budget about $100 per day for spending or emergencies, but never actually spend that much. We would rather come home with money than run short. But if you can say that each person gets a TShirt and $50 to spend where ever you go then spending can drop way down. My son and I collect pins and snow globes and those add up, so we budget for it. Also I like having pictures with the characters and in front of all the parks, so I have to budget for that. You can take pictures with your camera, or just get less pictures and save quite a bit.

We have 2 adults, one child (8), and a 2 year old who gets in free and shares with me some times at meals.

It just depends on how long you stay, where you stay, how you eat and what parks you want to go to. With Disney the difference between a 4 day ticket and a 10 day ticket is about $15 per person so if you stay within their parks you can save a lot on tickets. If you go to multiple parks...Universal is $85 for 7 days unlimited admission, but you will not want to go that many days, but since it is a good value lets say that is the price. Sea World has the same unlimited 7 day admission for Sea World and Bush Gardens for $85. But if you combine that with a $200 Disney ticket and then say you spend $400 per person on park tickets, that can really add to the budget.

If you drink alcohol at meals that adds up. It is expensive in the restaurants, and since you are eating out every day, that wine or martini at $10 + for each one can add up.

There are ways to do it cheap and there are ways to spend 6 months wages, you just have to decide what you can handle spending and what you have to have and what you can give up.

The best site for budgeting for disney is http://www.allearsnet.com/ They have pictures of all the resorts as well as prices and reviews. There is also a place where you look at menus with prices for all the restaurants. Decide where you want to eat, pick the most expensive thing eat person would eat and budget each meal.

Good luck and have fun.

Well it depends on how long (and where) we stay. But typically, for 2 adults staying in Kissimmee with a rental car for 7 days, we spend about $1200 total. This includes flight costs as well. A trip to Orlando can be done on any budget though. Feel free to contact me directly at disneymickeyvacation@yahoo.com

It will depend on how big of a family you are talking about, what your plans are when you get there, and when you are planning to go. The most expensive time will be from the end of May to the end of August. You can still get decent rates from the middle to end of May at most hotels and resorts. If your looking at going during the summer months, I suggest staying at Daytona Beach and driving down to the attractions in Orlando. The attractions will be quite expensive so planning two or three days(split up over a 10 day period) will give you a break from the beach and if you run into cloudy days or light rain. If you don't mind mediocre rooms check out Travelodge on Atlantic Ave. in Daytona Beach. They have two outdoor pools, a small tiki bar, all rooms have kitchen, and outdoor grills in the patio area. It is beach front with plenty of parking and 1 hr 15 minutes from Orlando. I have stayed there many times. You can occupy yourselves with beach, cookouts, local attractions and still be close to the Theme parks. We even rented a pontoon boat to cruise the Halifax river one afternoon. Good Luck.

Well, for just me and my husband staying at a value resort in the regular season(going mid-May), we'll be spending $2226.71 - that doesn't include spending money. It does include 7 nights stay at a value resort, a 7 day park hopper pass with dining added on, our airline tickets and taxes.
I can't see a way to go any cheaper unless you go during value season, but I calculated it out and it would save us less than $200 to postpone our trip until value season, which to us isn't worth it. If you have the patience, it can save you some money, though only on resort stays, since the ticket prices don't fluctuate.

We have been there enough times to know some cost saving tips, and I do suggest following up on some of the tips you have received already.
Some of the tips suggested can easily save a couple hundred bucks.
We go with 2 children, 2 adults, 8+ hours driving time, and it usually costs us around $2000-$2200. We do not try to skimp on housing though. We like to rent a home with pool, so we can have heated pool to ourselves...but $2000 for all that isnt too bad considering all the fun that goes with it.

The Democrats are nonetheless the social collecting of the KKK, they do now no longer care about blacks or whites in spite of the undeniable fact that. To the democrats, it fairly is all about potential and domination. in the journey that they could use a mulatto to do not ignore that end, they are going to. The failure and stupidity of this administration is proverb, in spite of the undeniable fact that... at the same time because the fools pretend they have this interior the bag... like they did in the time of Carter's vast failure... they're loosing and fascist media is doing all they could to distract from this truth.
