I think everyone who answered answered well and I gave thumbs up to the good answers, however I would like to add that compared to the United States, wrestling in Japan is HUGE. I mean they set attendance records all the time, and as far back as I can remember it has always been that way. So it would make sense that they have divisions that we don't, like ladies tag team titles and 6 man tag titles and such that do well.

They used to have titles like that in the states too, back in the old territorial days. They are also really popular in Mexico, more then two-man tag teams even.
But I don't think they would do good in the states. The WWE is having a hard enough time with two two-man tag team championships, and TNA's tag team division isn't very competitive either. The last thing they need is a three-man tag team title.

They used to have those and they were called 6-man tag team titles because there were 6 men in the ring. I don't think they would be successful at this time, because there isn't a company that is focusing on promoting the tag team division, so to have 6-man tag titles when they hardly pay attention to the tag team division at all just doesn't make sense.
