I know one is cheaper, but i was wondering if there is any quality difference between the two. I was hoping to get a new mp3 player.

If I were you, I would go with the e250.

It works with subscription music stores (such as Yahoo! Music Unlimited and Napster) and has an FM tuner, while the iPod can only play music bought from the iTunes store and non-copy protected MP3s and AACs and has no radio aside from podcasts. The e250 can also play WMA files and can be used with Windows Media Player. It also has a user removable battery and better sound quality (in my opinion) than the iPod. I don't really like the interface, however, so I use the Creative Zen MicroPhoto.

Good luck!

i have a nano, and love it (never heard of the sansa e250) but if you really want a ipod/mp3 player for the long run, i would buy a ipod video just cause it has more features and can hold way more stuff (you'd think 500 songs is a lot, but it isn't when you start to download all your cd's) but you can go to http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=32DAAC51&nclm=Certified and buy refurbished ipod nanos/ videos which i think i'm going to do (get a video instead) cause apple's gonna come out with more new things but if you have an ipod video it'll be more update but yeah, they;re cheaper when they're refurbished

If it were up to me, I would get the e250, I've actually recommended it to a couple of my friends, they ended up getting it, and they enjoy their choices to this day, the sansa players are definitely better feature for feature, but if you have a mac, your only choice would be the nano... if you have a windows though, id say definitely go with the underdog Sandisk Sansa.
