I was trying to unscrew the bolt for my oil filter on my motorcycle and it stripped (the threads did not strip, the head of the bolt is striped; all gummed up so the socket just spins and can't grip it) I tried to pound a smaller sized socket on it but it wouldn’t go. I also tried using some vice grip pliers but that didn’t work ether. Please help me get this darn thing off of there.

Patience and perseverance, maybe some wd-40 and a good night's rest, a clear mind is always helpful.

If you can drill or grind off the stub right down to the metal, being careful you don't shear off too much base material, you might can then pound a small slot screwdriver onto the shank and it should come right out, is one idea.

But yes, patience and perseverance.
