Students ARE teachers, and teachers ARE students. Once you think you know too much to be someone's student or know too little to be someone's teacher, you are in sad shape.

I feel learning is a collaborative process where teachers and students form a unique group--a class.

Through dialogue and discussion, each class negotiates what is taught and what is learned--albeit passively or actively negotiated.

Teachers realize that no two classes are the same; and thus, my theory holds true.

I feel the real question is, "If students were teachers, then would they come to school three days before the first day of school, on professional days, and remain at school three days after the last day as well?"

Teachers are students their entire lives. You would be amazed how much teachers learn from their students. To teach, you have to constantly modify your actions and beliefs.

If a majority of a teacher's students do not understand the lesson, the teacher needs to find a new way to teach it because his/her lesson was not effective.

Many teachers also have to continue their education after getting a degree... students again.

We are always learning; that is what being a good teacher is all about.

teachers really should be facilitators to guide students in learning. It is obvious at least in elem teaching that you will always have students who are smarter than the teacher, so the teacher needs to guide them in the right direction,to show them where to learn.
