well they're both top 5 all time. bird was a much better shooter and scorer as well as a better defensive player, he made at least two all defense second teams, and a sllightly better rebounder, then again magic was an immense physical mismatch at 6'9'' compared with any pg he played against, add that with his inteligence and he was probably the best pg ever, or at least on the offensive end of the court, he was only an average defender all in all id say its apples and oranges when your comparing players of that magnitude across positions. if pressed id say bird, but thats just me

its impossible to compare players at two different positions. id say magic was the better athlete but bird just seemed to have a little extra when it was time to man up and see who was for real

different types but Magic was better all around. but i liked watching bird

definatly majic. bird was good and could hit big shots but majic got rebounds,scored down low, and averaged more points.
