Lived here all my life, my family moved north from Luton to cheaper climes, made money by selling dear (Luton is close to London) buying cheap (not so close to London). It certainly is not as bad as people LIKE to paint it.
And I have not moved north, to make some money, (yet ).
I dont like Sheffield but this is silly, anyway I dont know Sheffield, other than a few trips to the town centre.
And Northampton is notorious, but ................

got family there. they'd get out if they could. It's pretty awful for the most part, but then i spose almost everywhere's got good & bad parts. just havent found any good parts of luton yet. when they moved there many years ago they thought it was quite nice, but it's definitely gone downhill.

An ex of mine lived there for a while. Not many pleasant memories there for me. Not a very nice town either. Pervading sense of iminent aggro everywhere.
