twice
once for a festival we were at and the local news was there i kept moving so i would not be on tv. lolol
the second time i was dressed in my fire gear with a mask on and air tank for fire safety week.
we go to the local schools to show kids we look real scary with all our gear on but we are just ppl they know coming to help
we also go over the rules for fire safety
the kids think its great a lady is a "fireman" and they all get a kick out of it when i take off my mask and it is the lady they see in town, at the gas station,in the store

Yes, while living in Houston Texas, I was on television AND the news many times, because I worked with the homeless. I was on three talk shows (local) and on the ABC and CBS affiliates' evening news, from 1987 through 1998. I was also on the TBN (Christian) affiliate, Ch. 14

Yes, I was part years ago part of the dancing team of a local TV show named Party Time. After that I went to live up state New York and when I got back here I was in a celebration of the opening of a highway in a town ahead my home town and a reporter from the local news came towards me to ask me my opinion about things like that.

One time Mia Hamm the soccer player came to this grocery store in a city where I used to live as part of some program to get people to eat vegetables. I was part of my school's student council so we all got to go to the event and meet her. The local news station covered it and I was in the background for a little bit. That was my brush with media.

Yes. I was once chairman of the local housing authority and advocated tearing down a particularly dilapidated housing project overrun with drugs and crime. Jeez, the way I was portrayed you'd have thought I was the Imperial Lizard of the GD KKK and all I wanted to do was help people! It sure bummed me out on public service!

I was on the Marie Torrie show, waving to the camera from the audience.
I was also on Bowling for Dollars, waving to the camera from the audience.
I was also on a Valentine's Day commercial for Together Dating agency. I spoke one sentence.

Yes they were talking about deaf fire alarms on channel 12 news in Wisconsin about 10 years ago....Kent Wainscott did the newscast....my sister and I were in my bedroom and the lights were flashing for the fire alarm going off.

Yes a boy was killed when forced to the ground and died by a classmate. Reporters were there everyday for a week until we told them your scaring our children they ran after that.

yes many times during hurricane katrina cnn interviewed me and i used to be in a singing group we used to open for the oakridge boys and some other things i have been interviewed
