Anyone see the Pogues on the recent tour? Saw the Pogues last Thursday at Roseland. Positively sublime. "Sally MacLennane, Body of an American, Boys from the County Hell, Pair of Brown Eyes, Turkish Song of the Damned, Rainy Night in Soho". MacGowan performed in a wheelchair, due to his unfortunate accident in Boston. He was fabulous, in much better voice than he was even 15 years ago when I saw them just before the big breakup.

well there are a few that come close (Noel Gallagher, Damien Dempsey, Van Morrisson, Thom Yorke) but Shane is the best! A pair of Brown Eyes, A Rainy Night in Soho, Lullaby of London, Thousands are Sailing are some of the best. People are always going on about "Celtic Rock" and Flogging Molly but always overlook the originals! Shane has plenty of faults and is a bit of a mess as a person ( I'm actually surprised he's still standing), but he is a damn good songwriter!

Awesome Review!!!

Music does not come better then the Pogues! Irish music at it's best.

Without Shane they were just OK..One of my top 5 all time bands ones of the only ones I had wished I would have seen some 20+ years age.

The Pogues are a lot of fun to see live. I'm so jealous! They aren't coming to Ohio.

Yes! his name is Noel Gallagher. The Pogues are decent, but that Christmas song drives me insane.... it's just played too much in department stores in the UK.
