I've purchased a Verto Geforce FX 5200 graphics card to upgrade from the default card that the Dimension 2400 came with. It came with an Intel Extreme graphic already installed on the motherboard. I'm wondering how to uninstall this one so that I can install the Verto.

You have to go into the Dell Bios and disable the Intergrated Intel chipset before Window can recognized the Verto. Open your case, install the Verto, go into the Bios disable the integrated card, select the Verto (PCI) as the default video card. Boot into Window, go into System, Device Manger, Display and find the Intel built-in, Check the " Do not use this hardware" or something like that. You will see a red X next to the Intel Integrated Chipset. Reboot and go into Display and you will see the Verto has been select as your primary card.

Install the card, then you go into the bios (press del or F-something when prompted while booting the computer) and find the option to disable onboard graphics.

But according to this:

your computer doesn't have an AGP slot. If that's an AGP card, you're out of luck. If it's a PCI card, you can install it. Either way, that's not a very fast card at all for gaming, sorry to say. And there aren't any better PCI graphics cards (and if there are, they won't run nearly as fast as they're capable of because PCI is a much slower connection than AGP)

The Wisom Cube has it right, I don't see an AGP slot on that computer either. Might be time for a new computer.
