I already let him run around in the bathroom, but I want something possibly like an exercise pen for dogs, so he can have a confined play area when ever he wants because I can't always let him play in the bathroom every day. Besides, I was thinking about getting some of those leaping ledges and attaching those to the inside of the exercise pen to make it a more fun play area. In the bathroom all he can do is just run around on the floor. I would appreciate it if those who don't have a damn clue would just please refrain from posting idiotic answers.

go to ferretstore.com, and click on small pets, or just look under the ferret section, they have some good sized playpens for animals like that

Please make sure to check the wire spacing on any pen you get anything over an inch can be squeezed through depending on he size of the chinchilla, 1/2 inch is your best choice. Also make sure you get a cover for your pen or they will be up and over in no time. I have made a play pen/run from unfinished pine screen doors and it works well if you have the space.

You don't even have to buy an exercise pen.

When I had ferrets, what worked the best for us....we let them play in the bathroom. We screwed wood trim to the inside of the doorjam to make grooves, and then went to home depot for a plexiglass chunk to fit. It worked perfectly. It wouldn't hold in a puppy, but a small animal---perfect. When the plexiglass isn't in, you can't even tell there was a change.

*****my, my, aren't you just a sweetheart? :)

You should get a sugar glider. They are small opossums that are about 6 to 7 inches long. They love to ride around on your shoulder or in your pocket. They can "fly" like a flying squirrel does. They are very low maintenance.
