I am trying to finish off my biology homework, and this question is really throwing me off. All help is appreciated.

Well, magnesium ions are found in chlorophyll molecules. This is probably what your homework is looking for. Also, some enzymes that use ATP/ADP as a substrate will use Mg2+ to shield the negative charge of the phosphoryl groups.
