Can we please get rid of the insert key?

Question

Every key on a keyboard has a purpose, most of them will be useful to you at some point... except for the insert key... if you accidentally press that, you might actually find yourself tying over stuff you need... yeah that's right, the insert key is actually counter-productive!
Who's with me on this? Should they get rid of it?
Or does anyone use it? :)

For those of you who don't know, the insert key is the key on the keyboard which says 'insert.'
If you’re typing something on the computer, and you've pressed the insert key, then you go back to a previous word, sentence or paragraph to type some extra information you will find you are typing over what you've already written! It’s really annoying!

I use it, it changes the mode of typeing so that you can either squeeze more text in, or overtype. I vote it stays!

I know how to use it, what you might need to do, is pay more attention to what you're doing. I mean no bad intention.

ACTUALLY! I use it when I'm accidentally typing over stuff I've already written [[honest]]..... so it's helpful to me! Please leave it in there... I need it :O(
