I have a dell dimension 3000 and when i turn on my computer it says "windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:\system32/ntolkrnl.exe. please re-install a copy of the above file.

i have the dell reinstallation cd--now what?

this is how it happened:

i was shutting down my computer and it automatically updated windows for me but it took too long so i just [[out of pure anger]] shut it off manually [[BUT IT WOULDN'T DIE!!]] and now--when i turn it back on--it has the Dell main screen which says its loading for 2 seconds--then it goes to the black screen with the missing file message.

now because i wanted my computer to die..
it is dead.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!
HELP A POOR INNOCENT GIRL FINISH HER CHEMISTRY LAB REPORT!!!!
or i'll die....


note: the only reason i can access el interneto [[i'm not hispanic, but asian]] is because currently at the library...
