Do Drag Queens/Transfestites/Transexuals go to male prisons prison?

If you have male parts, you go to a mens facillity, if you have female parts you go to a womens facillity. Although some larger facillities do have segragated wings for openly gay inmates. Penis=mens prison, vagina=womens prison.

With transsexual women, it's a bit trickier. They generally go to the facility that matches their legal gender, which usually, though not always, matches the state of their genetalia.

Thus, a pre-op transwoman would be housed in a men's facility, though generally in a separate section for her protection, and a post-op transwoman would be housed in a woman's facility, though possibly in a separate section.

A pre-op transwoman who's had her gender marker changed in the state in which she's convicted would be a tricky person to assign as a matter of law.
