I had a 3rd interview for a job on Wednesday and the company told me they were deciding between me and one other candidate, and that I would hear from them "very soon."

I want to follow up with them tomorrow, because I haven't heard anything and am going crazy waiting (!). My question is, how should I phrase the e-mail? Also, should I e-mail the owner, who I interviewed with, or his assistant, who scheduled the interview?

Thanks :)

3rd interview, man! I've never been in a position where I've been called back for another interview--either I got the job or not. It must be pretty nerve wracking.

I'm fairly sure that it's courtesy to give people at least a week just in case something happened, they're busy, power went out, etc. Unless they told you differently, ie in 2 days.

I suggest you email only the people who interviewed you. If you talked to someone else who did the scheduling but did not do an interview, then I wouldn't.

Good luck!!

might desire to you refer to HR rather of the supervisor that interviewed you? that could desire to place your strategies at relax without seeming too pushy. From my adventure, "we are going to touch you in some days/with the help of next week" can rather enhance to "a month" in case you haven't any longer been chosen - unhappy yet some agencies do no longer seem to strategies being thoughtless to those they are no longer hiring! the two, it might merely be an exceedingly annoying selection they're making so they're taking their time (i've got not yet had a "sorry this is going to take a week longer than we promised" call the two!). sturdy success - and in case you don't get it, save attempting, there will be greater effective agencies :)

No email. Spend 39 cents and write a letter.
You know hw easy it is to delete email, but a leter has to be handled.

Here's a sample.

Dear Mr. Smith,

Thank you for the opportunity to meet you you Wednesday afternoon.

After our discussion , I feel the position would be very interesting and feel i am qualified for the
job.

I hope to hear from you in the near future.

Thank you for your consideration.
