Your question, without the details--& even then--seems a bit ambiguous? How can it be both hard to fall in love, & to fall out of love? You have to fall in love to fall out of love...oh my. I wonder if you mean that falling in love is "hard" because then, falling "out" of love is hard? I suspect I shouldn't have answered this question because I have virtually nothing on which to base any opinion. Perhaps the only thing I see with any perspective, is that it's difficult for you when your partner "moves on." Better phrasing of the question might evoke better answers--sorry I can't help.

Serotonin is a long term brain chemical that is produced when you're in love; after the "Love Sick" (dopamine) stage.

You can produce serotonin by petting a dog or cat ... smiling at other ppl ... or during that intimacy in a relationship. Studies on dolphins show that the serotonin levels are so high in this species that if one of the spouses dies, the other one will soon stop eating and die.

The artical doesn't say this, but I'm noticing that men seem to have stronger "Dopamine" (Short term rush) addictions while females have "Seritonin" (Long term feel good) addictions. An addiction is an addiction, none the less and you would benefit by following the 12 step program for alcohalics. However, I'm failing at this, so, I may not be the best to give advice ... I have the knowledge, but not the will power. Yucky!!!
