Not sure if i get your question. If you're in London one of the big post office sorting centres used to be at Mount Pleasant in WC1. Now i live in East Sussex and the main office is in Tunbridge Wells. From there they get distributed more locally i believe.

That will depend on which part of England it is being sent to.
