how do get to be a top contributer?

how to get to be a top contributer here? i have seen sooo many ppl with top contributer under their name how do you do that??? and wut does that mean? and also on the % i had 2% then it went down to 1% and now i have 0% why did it go down and who can i get it back up?????? HELP ME!!!!

I am a top contributer, but havent got the foggiest idea how I got that label, you can have mine though just tell yahoo I don't care to much for labels anyway, and gladly give it to you.

it goes purely by the number of your posts ,
so far as i am aware
the trick is to judge the quality of the post
,to get an idea of what sort of posts they are ''tops'' at posting

i note many ''top posters '' post the quick throw away line
others write long assertive missals others just methodiclly respond to all the posts in a given catagory

its a worry each post is judged to see what ''top' posting type they are doing
but clearly it gives us feed back

the percentage high score goes by number of questions you replied to to how many [so far] have earned best answer
the more you post in the beginning the lower your best answer in percentage points

but think each new answer can in some future time earn a best answer , for which you get points
to judge
or the comunity votes for
plus dont forget the most neglected feature of answers we can add comments to ANSWERED questions to correct and point out misstakes or lazy answer sellection

its great get an oppinion and be able to correct misconceptions ,but you dont get or loose points , much as the blog feature

Every time you answer a question and not get best answer your percent for best answer goes down?
