The industrial revolution made an end to slavery economical.
With the pactice's flimsy economical argument made moot, the moral outrage over its practice could spread. With the spread of moral outrage came the acknowledgement of the worth of a single individual.
The civil rights movement was, essentially, an effort by the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of slaves to claim that acknowledgement and demand it for themselves.

You could write a truly hilarious argument either way. No way to prove a daman thing. Cars are wonderful and we love them, cars are dangerous and kill millions and people are dying from lack of exercise. etc etc. Atomic power is jsut great for running manufacturing plants, but it sure can blow the hell out of the whole planent if our leaders fqannot be trusted. Nowwho do you trust. Fund crazy project. But if you are really smart you will not dothat. you will not chance it. got for the a plus by sounding normal. you cannot read the mind of your teacher so play it cool.
