Yes that shouldn't be a problem. for the first couple years a girl has her period, getting her period every 3-6 weeks is perfectly normal. with hormones and everything. although if it is more often than that i suggest the girl see a doctor because that might not be normal. otherwise u just don't know what to expect with teenagers and periods.

For some girls it is a little normal because your body hasn't regulated itself just yet. When I first got my period I have two periods a month for a little while. Birth control pills can help stop that!

I've had it happen a couple of times when my periods were irregular when I first started them, but I would recommend checking with the dr to be sure that nothing else is going on to cause this such as a hormone imbalance.
