How do i know if he cares?

I am 13 and am friends with a 20 year old guy who is engaged. We are just friends, i dont like, only as a friend. Me ans my friend hang out with him and his brothers. Im not really sure if he really cares about me, i shorta think he does but i shorta dont. I dont know what to do. My friend who i go and hang out with them with is my "sister" and she is 19, she shorta thinks the same.I just dont feel likes theres room for me in his life, he says he doesnt care that im 13. He has a brother the same age. Im just not sure what to do. so if you could help me, that would be great. Thanx

I look at him as a brother or a pet fish, i would cry if i had to flush him down the toilet but i wouldnt kiss him or go out with him, its bothering me becuz i mean he is 20 and i just dont want to get in the way and i dont know if he really cares or i am just some little girl who he happens to know. I mean i look at him as a brother i treat him as a brother, i just would like the same in return. Be his friend, thats all, im just really sonfused as of what to do....?????

If you don't like him, you don't have to do anything. He's too old for you anyway, plus he's engaged. If he tells you he doesn't care you're 13, he doesn't care about the law, either. What happens when you get to old for him? I hope you don't have any little sisters. If I were you, I wouldn't be around him, or I would ignore him. I don't think anything good could come out of it.

First of all he is in no position to have a 13 girl as a friend.

He is an adult you are a teen.

In many cases if anything were to happen he would face criminal charges.

He is not available anyway.

I am concerned as to why a 13 year old is hanging out with a 20 year old engaged man to begin with.

I think you need to find some friends your own age , or at least
single ones.

He is out of line and out of bounds.

If you dont' like him, why are you so interested in whether he cares about you? You said he and you are friends and he has a brother your age. He's engaged. There is nothing for you to do so why be so interested in doing anything? There may not be room for you in his life, but if there is room, it will be to be considered like a little sister. That's what I hope. I suspect that you are a little bit interested in him. Don't be because he's way too old for you and he is engaged.

honestly ,you need friends who are closer to your age , with friends your own age you would have much more in common then there wouldn't be so much confusion about how they feel about you, if you weren't sure wouldn't you just ask them? i think that the huge age difference between you two is probably why there is confusion, and the fact that you cant just ask this 20yr. old guy how he feels about you yourself is a sign that it might not be such a good idea for you two to continue being friends, he may have a brother your age,but they have a family bond so its okay for them to pal around they have allot in common, the truth is friends and family are completely different

I think you have a crush on him.Because its bothering you too much enough for you to post it up.But what type affection do you want him to show you that he cares. maybe he is just not that emotionall. I think you feel like an out cast at times. becasue you keep saying you are 13. but in reality he probably even sees you like a sister. and maybe you want him too see you like more. and for a boy who is 20 if he didnt want you in his life and if he didnt care about you he would let you know or brush you off.
Maybe he has alot in his mind he is at a age that they have to think of there future and work and figuring life out is not easy. If you care for him be his freind with no doubts. Treat him as you want to be treated by him.

I think that he is alittle too old, even for a friend at your age. you need to find kids your own age to hang out with. This could be trouble for you and him if you don't change your ways.

am exactly in the same situation and for my case,the guy has a daughter. am 15,he is i think 22 or 23.
she's right,take a chance only if you think it's there in your heart.
but also be carefuldon't get carried away cuz un4tunately for us,this kinda relationships has limits..

and if he hasn't told you yet (exactly) make sure that he is sure. but wait...engaged??
uhm,thats a big risk..i'd probably tell you not to interfere cuz he 'might' just be using you just to pass time. ( i don' kno him or yo situation,so i aint judging).
but take in mind that he is engaged...don' mind what they say..it's up to you now..

u might just want to stay friends with him because u don't want him to get in trouble with the law but if u and him are cool and u want to know if he cares about u one day act like u are really sick and if he is really concerned about your health than he really cares about u and u might have a really good friend on your side

u r to young to b thinking whether or not he think about u in the way u think about him. u need to find someone ur age. and now I'm go in to answer ur question i don't think he care about u. just sit back and think heavy about it. think about what he want and about what u can do for him and what someone on his level can do for him.
