im sure norton internet security is blocking them from accessing the internet because when i turn it off my browsers work fine. but i cant seem to find where to configure the settings so that it allows my browsers to run. i already configured the " allow program control " settings in the personal firewall section to allow firefox yet it still does not work. please help

im also not looking forward to uninstalling this, i already paid 90 dollars for norton

Try turning off different parts of NIS and seeing if that helps -- it may not be the firewall portion. Once you've narrowed it down, contact Symantec if you need help configuring it.

open norton by ability of double clicking the icon in the notification section by ability of the clock click on own firewall and click configure click the courses tab scroll all the way down to the get correct of entry to you want firefox or information superhighway explorer below the bar that reads information superhighway get correct of entry to click the get correct of entry to for this technique then click computerized or allow all
