For starters bestest is not a word and you want to "do well in science."
My best advice is find a study buddy that is equally as dedicated as you are. I did this in my college statistics class and working on problems together and explaining or being explained the material by someone of my level of intelligence was the best help I ever received. Teachers are a great help, but sometimes their schedule does not coincide with yours. Remember, make sure your study buddy is dedicated and not a distraction from your studies! Best of luck!

I'm in 7th grade and taking 9th grade Algebra, so I might be of a little bit of help.
-Set aside 15-30 minutes a day to study, for example request extra worksheets and flashcards from your teachers so that you can study them.
-Sign up for math tutoring if your school has it, so that maybe you can get extra help and attention from a teacher
-Ask a friend who is better than you at math. This could be the best or worst strategy, because though friends can be caring and understanding, they can also be very distracting from your work
-Make SURE you pay attention in math class, of course
And that's all I have to say. I know it sounds like a lot of work, and it is, but if you really want to get into that middle school, i bet you can do it.

I usually don't even study sometimes when I have a test. Well, lets just say I probrably don't study on my own. I MOST of the time go to lunch and study for any test that day. In fact before I went on Spring Break I had a 3rd quarter EXAM FOR MATH! I didn't study the night before because I was too busy playing my fav game VMK. I was so mad at my self so I went to school the next day I tried to study all I could at lunch before the exam. All in all I got a 100%!!!! I was so amazed and I got straight A's on my report card. So if you procrastinate, or wait till the last moment to do something, you should study all the time you can that day. I sugest also that you enjoy 5th grade and stop trying to prepare for 6th. Believe me I am in 6th. Just practice doing those Big 20 skills, or those simple skills like adding and subtracting, ect. Just do your best and pray to God every day for wisdom. Because I did and I got Straight A's!!
God Bless You,
Someone who cares :)

Get yourself a good tutor that can show you a different way to approach math topics. I was always horrible in math and still am. I did have an excellent college professor that told me that understanding the process was more important than getting the right answer.

Study hard. Ask your teacher questions, if you don't understand. Get a tutor, if possible. Anyway, I think you will do fine because obviously you care. You are thinking ahead and planning your future, which I think is great for someone in 5th grade.

hi... I'm in 7th grade and this is what I do. for math you have to enjoy doing it or you'll get tired of doing it. also when you do math the easy way to do it is to keep on doing the same problems that your having trouble with then go on and work ahead of the class

You can get help from your teacher and study more. You could also ask more questions and participate.
