depends on how dead the battery is . If 100% Dead then no you'll have to replace it . But if you have battery in the laptop and it is only 25% charged you just need a new power pack for the laptop.. You see most / all laptops charge there battery when pluged in for Ac / Wall socket power. So if battery not chargeing it is either you ac adapter / the battery is too old and needs replaced.

You can but you need a stronger electrical current, that is much higher than the specified voltage. For example, if your laptop runs on 240V, you need a voltage way beyond that to start a chemical reaction known as electrolysis. Recharging a dead battery requires a little 'Chemistry', to electrify the dead cells that were completely decayed.

Manufacturers only warrant batteries for 12 months because that is their approximate life expectancy. If you Laptop doesn't charge the battery anymore get another one. Especially if it's been more than a year since you last replaced it. If it's newer than that, there may be an issue with the onboard charging system. That requires an expert to fix.

there is one trick you are able to attempt. it really is something we used to apply to convey useless Ni Cads again to life, ought to artwork along with your variety. Get some fairly stout wires and strip both ends of each. Have someone carry both wires to the connections of a vehicle battery. carry the wire from the detrimental of the vehicle to the detrimental of your workstation battery. Then right now and briefly contact the wire from the valuable of the vehicle to the valuable of your battery. Make those connections very short. Repeat 2 or 3 circumstances, then attempt charging it oftentimes. often times it worked, often times it did not.
