Just to add to the previous answer (or rather, comment on your question): "Nazi" (plural "Nazis" is short for "Nationalsozialisten" ("national socialists") - the ruling party at the time.
They were the leading political force, and therefore got to decide what the military forces did, but they weren't themselves one of the armed forces. (Though of course, many members of the military were also party members.)
