In the beginning, just smelling something minty made me feel sick, but if I tasted it I vomited, meat made me very sick, and I craved pickled peppers.
Now I can handle some meat, the sight of the pickled peppers makes me queasy, and the people I work with were so sensitive to me that they don't chew minty bubblegum anymore so its been a while since I smelled it.

I was lucky; I literally had no nausea/morning sickness whatever. I definitley craved spicy foods; in particular, I developed an absolute addiction to sour pickles of all things! I also liked sandwiches with spicy mustard and similar flavors. Schlotzsky's sandwiches were easily my favorite - I could wolf down one of their BIG ones in nothing flat, and then be hungry again 2 hours later. I'd certainly never been a big eater before I became pregnant, but I definitely made up for it while I was. Afterward, I returned to my normal eating habits (I was unable to breast-feed for very long, unfortunately - long story), and lost all the weight I had gained plus about 10 more pounds.

I didn't crave spicy foods, but I couldn't stop eating them once I started, lol. I can't go in a Chinese restaurant without ordering a spicy dish and putting chili oil on it (even though before my pregnancy I really didn't like chili oil!). Usually, by the end of the meal I can't feel my lips because of the heat!
I find that smells make me nauseous, especially heavy perfumes and dog smell. Especially dog smell. I have friends with dogs and I can't even go in their houses without feeling like I'm going to throw up... which sucks, 'cause they're good friends.

Almost everything made me nauseous at one time or other during my pregnancy. I especially could not stand the smell of fried food. For a while I could only eat yogurt and bananas. My doc put me on a milk shake diet to gain weight. 2 fattening sugar loaded milk shakes a day. Yum!

Pizza made me sick when I was pregnant, just the smell of it would have me rushing to the toilet to be sick. I used to really like pizza, but I just can't stomach it anymore even now a year after having my baby. Other foods that didn't agree with me during pregnancy were - bananas, pumpkin and most dairy products especially milk. I wouldn't say spicy food made me sick as such, but I did limit eating them because they gave me heartburn.

Any salsa made me feel grossed out. I especially hated the very smell of taco bell. Just the thought of the food even today almost two years later makes me feel sick. Towards the last trimester I really wanted pizza with jalapenos though, I wanted the burn on my tongue badly. With this last pregnancy, just gave birth on the 10th I couldn't stand chicken, just wanted lots of shrimp, e.g. shrimp fried rice, orange shrimp etc......oh and I loved drinking root beer. Well, good luck with everything.
