That's the simple reason why nations such as the United States need to stock nuclear weapons. How many Americans have ever chanted something such as "Death to Iran"? How many US residents have publicly burnt other nations' flags? Let's stop being so argumentative and divisive among ourselves.

Amen. Finally a voice of reason. Lets stop sending billions of dollars in aid to countries that hate us. Let's take care of our own problems and quit acting like spoiled 3 year olds. Dialougue should be civil....not name calling and hate mongering. It seems way too many people pine for the social activism of the 60's. It's 2007 folks, flower power is dead.

Why don't we just all trust the government, they never lie. The government loves everyone, especially folks from New Orleans and the gulf south, they especially love Mexicans, that’s why they keep the borders open and let nice corporations give them nice wages. The government loves the military personnel that’s why they keep the hospitals so nice for the injured military. Lets just forget about that piece of paper called the constitution yeah, lets just be like China or countries like Russian - guess what happens when they speak out against their nation. Lets be like the Borg on Star Trek and just have one mind, or collective and never have our own thoughts. Resistance is futile. Lets just worship our good ole made in China American flag.

If they have such disrespect for our country, why do they stay.
Personally I am beginning to think that they are actually enemies, moles, waiting to sabotage our system. They say they are using our Constitution to allow them to be objectors but that's a bunch of crap, I think they are enemy invader.
There are other ways they can show their objection to government practices, they can vote for representatives who feel the same as they do.
Burning our flag and chanting anti-American slogans is not the right way.

As a kid when someone teased you I'll bet you were so juvenile that you took corporal action. They do that just for attention. If you ignore them they go away. If we wiped out every country were people burned our flag there would be few countries left. What a stupid reason to go after them. I don't like it either but all they are doing is pulling the dog's tail to see if he will bite. If we give them attention or bite them they get their way .

They're showing off there type of democracy, many people in the USA would love to to these types of activity's but they are just plain scared they will get in trouble with the law, because thats our type of democracy. We let our government intimidate us to the point we feel we have to be politically correct or we will not be accepted or jailed.

Frankly, it amazes me that anybody pays any attention to protests in the Arab world. They are as spontaneous as the Nuremburg rallies, and staged entirely for the news cameras.
Nonetheless, it seems fair trade for their scoundrels to burn the flag. After all, ours wrap themselves up in it.

I have honor for ALL flag's but not for some of the people those flags represent. It may not be illegal to burn the American flag but you had better not do it in front of me. If you do then you have a 63 year old vet all over your ***.I defended that flag in 2 wars & if need be I will do it again.
