I don't know if I ALWAYS do the right thing... especially when it comes to arguments with my husband... not that they're bad arguments but they're pointless and spiteful... ANYWAYS - I NEVER lie. It's practically impossible for me to lie... even if I plan on lying I'll start telling the lie, then I'll smile and play it off like I was being sarcastic. It's just not in my nature to lie. Once when I was about 7-8 I lied to my mom and she found out that I was lying right away - I got a swat on the butt and a time out. I asked her why I got in troubel because what I was lying about wasn't even a big deal and she said that I would not have gotten in trouble if I had just told her a drew a small pencil line on the wooden crib but that I had gotten in "huge" trouble just because I lied. Lesson learned! I did go through an EXTREMELY rebellious period where I lied to my parents ALL THE TIME when I was a teenager but grew out of that it was "only" my parents that I lied to - as if that wasn't bad enough.

BUT ANYWAYS - what was the question?

Yes, I try to do the right thing most of the time. And it is not often that it is NOT in my own interest.

Always. It may not be in my best interest now, but somebody "upstairs" is keeping track.

Yes, all the time. I sometimes wish I could be more selfish, but I don't think I have it in me.
