Not to bash the science teacher above, but calling the PROTEIN a carbohydrate is negating ones self. It also cancels out DNA, because proteins are made of amino acids, not carbohydrates or their components, nor genetic material. That leaves you with chemical Molecule, which would be the most correct, but the phrasing is awkward... Its more of a *Biological* molecule...

Hemoglobin is not a carbohydrate nor is it composed of DNA.

Hemoglobin is a protein composed of four individual polypeptides and is associated with iron. And I actually am a science teacher, trust ME
