I don't think, unless you are rabid and unthinking, that wrong and right can be used in the way that you mean here. For some things the conservative point of view is sensible and in keeping with the aims of our forefathers, those that are in the Constitution for instance. In other aspect, mostly social, the liberals have the right ideas, or at least aims. Taking care of the poor, the hungry and the elderly and ill are honorable things. Liberals recognize that and Conservative of the new school (neo cons) seem to be willing to let people die in the streets rather than pay a bit more in taxes. Neo cons consider the constitution a bit of a nuisance, getting in the way of all their plans, they have the hugest ego I've ever seen when it comes to deciding who is and is not patriotic. I have some problems when it come to their interpretations and their coldness. Conservatives of the old school like Goldwater may not have approved of things like abortion, but he approved even less of making laws that went into peoples personal lives. So its not that we ignore our problems its that we have trouble finding a mid point or balance so that we can enact the kind of legislation we need to make this country safe and healthy and not beholden to a specific religious point of view.

If I had to site one thing that liberals are guilty of it is never accepting any responsibility for the mess their feel good policies cause. Socialism is a stupid system that has caused more deaths than all the wars the world has known. Yet the liberals want more and more of it.
Johnson's War on Poverty for instance. Trillions spent on it and by liberals' own account we have more poverty than when it started.
Social Security is another. Do you realize how little you get compared to what you contribute? Have any of you young people looked at the numbers? You should take a look at how much of your income you will have to contribute to provide payments for the Baby-Boomers. Wait until you see how old you are going to have to be before you can retire.
The public schools were the envy of the world until Carter created the Department of Education and started using Federal funds to control local schools. Now they cost way more and they suck.
Do you think student loans are a good idea? Why do you think collages get away with charging such ridiculously high tuition and increase it every year way beyond the rate of inflation? Because the government provides the money that you have to pay back for the rest of your life. Colleges no longer have to control costs.
Literally every program the government does ends up costing many, many times what it should and the results are worse than expected.
Now they want to take over health care because there are too many people without health care coverage. Will they remember Johnson's war on poverty model and just help people buy their own insurance? No they will duplicate Johnson's mistakes and take over the whole thing. Now you will have medical service that rivals the department of motor vehicles. You will not only have to pay for people who don't have any money but also support the huge bureaucracy that comes with it. Poorer quality for more money. Pat yourself on the back and look to see what other industry the government can take over. The hell with the Constitution. Amending it is too difficult because most people are too stupid to realize that the liberals know what is best. So, why bother amending it when you can just ask the judiciary to help you ignore it.
Liberalism is wrong because it does not realize or care how negatively it's policies impact the very people they want to help.
Liberal- If a man is hungry GIVE him a fish and he will eat well tonight. Take some from everyone elses' catch and he can eat every night.
Conservative- If a man is hungry TEACH him to fish and he will eat well every night and not have to depend on anyone else.

First of all, to say that Conservatism ignores problems is not right. Just as saying that Liberalism makes problems is not right. Both philosophies have merrit, and for you to make the statement you made with the information section, only shows your lack of enlightenment/intensity of closed-mindedness. There is something good in everything, and the moment you throw everything away, then you have nothing. As the saying goes, "Something old, something new..." You have to have balance, however, a two party system doesn't work, when both sides are trying to have a majority and mainly espouse only one philosophy each, which patently violates the idea of balance. Stop attacking each other, and look to each other for a clue and an answer.

The 4 freedoms that you aspect out are skewed from the unique concept. as an party there replaced into no welfare till the mid twentieth century. Liberalism ought to o.k. have taken a incorrect turn as you advise, even if, you may not go away conservatives out of the blend as, additionally they're a "rigidity authorities down your throat" type of entity. I in simple terms examine a question that said abortion. "could or not it really is allowed in us of a"? i'd ask proper again: Why does the federal authorities opt to get targeted on a topic it extremely is so up close and private to a "woman" and her rights. also, why could a guy be waiting to opt for about a woman's body? no longer putting forward i'm adverse to or for, in simple terms reflecting on concept-about political incorrect turns. yet another party of incorrect turns: Conservatives believe all individuals should be armed with cannon's, the position Liberals imagine a pee shooter is going to some distance. Our forefathers said an armed protection force... the position's the incorrect turn? Our political equipment (all activities) have created a U-activate behalf of democracy.

1st and foremost it isn't wrong it just seems the liberal crowd is always fighting what is considered immoral things by the conservatives. However i believe if the mass majority of the liberals and conservatives were brought together that thier thinking would not be that much diffirence espicially on the major problems facing us.
However the politicians could not stand this on either side for it would ruin them and independents would take over all the controlling offices of goverment ever heard DIVIDE AND CONGUER stands true today.

How are you defining "wrong"?
The Republicans, through their slavish obedience to their wealthy corporate owners and willingness to allow corporate capitalists to take wealth from the system without returning any, destroyed the national and world economies in the period leading up to 1929.
The Democrats, led by that unashamed liberal Franklin Delano Roosevelt, spent the next thirty years repairing the damamge, building the great society we were left to enjoy along the way.
Now we have the Republicans in again, being Republicans. How long before we expect those liberals to start fixing the mess again?
When a Republican says a liberal is wrong, he really means nobody has a right to disagree with him. What can be more wrong than the narrow, partisan attitude that the Bush league demonstrates?

Liberals want entitlement programs like social security and medicare. Conservatives want to end entitlement programs. Everyone would take care of themselves with no safety net provided by the federal government. I guess charities would help a lot of those in need, wouldn't they?

(1) I'm not clear that either liberalism or conservatism is "wrong" but they clearly have different views on issues.
(2) The financial state of the US is awful when one considers the unfunded liabilities of Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.
(3) We must attack our problems or they will overwhelm us.

Conservatives make the problems by stealing from the poor to give to the rich, Why would they want to fix any problems?
The problem Steve, the government takes a HUGE chunk out of the GNP which the "little people" have no say over! It means for them unemployment!
The economy is terrible, sitting on a house of cards! Housing starts are at a 40 year low!
Corporate welfare, no bid contracts and 3 1/2 TRILLION in additional DEBT is what props up this economy. And the rich are the only ones who make out!
State officials are scrambling to track down children left behind at schools and day cares when their parents were detained by an immigration raid on a New Bedford “sweatshop.”
“The troops that stormed the factory are better at corraling people than dealing with family issues,” said state Sen. Mark Montigny (D-New Bedford).
Since 300 federal agents swept into the New Bedford factory Tuesday, reports have poured into the Department of Social Services and other agencies about children being left behind with babysitters, day-care providers and relatives with little information on their parents.
“DSS is on the ground following up on leads about children whose parents never came home yesterday,” said Kyle Sullivan, chief spokesman for Gov. Deval Patrick.
Patrick has called for help from Congress, alleging that DSS was denied access to some of the 327 detainees rounded up at Michael Bianco Inc. and now held at Fort Devens.
Sullivan said the governor had a “positive conversation” last night with Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, who is in charge of the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which conducted the sweep.
“The secretary has offered to work with us with respect to people ICE has identified as possibly having children,” Sullivan said.
ICE spokeswoman Paula Grenier said the agency has released 60 detainees for “humanitarian reasons,” including medical and child-care issues. Among those were three pregnant women and two who are breast-feeding. Most rounded up in the raid were from Guatemala and El Salvador.
The company’s owner, Francesco Insolia, 50, and three managers are facing federal charges of conspiring to hire illegal aliens. Insolia was reportedly out of jail and back at the factory working yesterday.
Workers were allegedly assisted in obtaining phony work papers, fined for talking and bathroom breaks and worked long hours to pump out military vests and other gear under the company’s $91 million government contract, federal officials allege. "
The Boston Herald is a right wing rag!
A 91 MILLION DOLLAR GOVERNMENT CONTRACT!!! And they won't even hire legals!
