It all comes down to witch of the two studies is right ? , the notion is divided by the spiritual believe and the self determination mode , both wants to be right but there is just to many variables as people and believes are . Each side of the coin is chosen when specifics are convenient for the situation at hand .

If you have no free will then what does it matter what you do as it is only fate.
If you kill someone, they were fated to die and you are not responsible for your actions as you were fated to do the act.
Free will means that the future is determined by our actions not just a machine grinding us under it's movement from the past to the future.

It's important b/c it affects how criminologists analyze criminals and go to court and psychologists try to determine what the punishment should be, is this guy violent and gonna do it again or was he pressured into it by his friends? What is fair?
