Sometimes as your hormones change as you go through puberty your periods can get off schedule a bit. It is not at all uncommon for some women to have very irregular periods or for their periods to be late once in a while. Mine were never very regular at all.

If you completely skip one and you're worried or otherwise not feeling good, see your doctor. My bet is that it has to do with the age you are and going through natural changes.

My periods were normal for the first 2 years then the rest the way up into college they were very sporadic and hard to figure out, I think it was caused by my bad eating, but they weren't normal again till I joined the army and didn't have a choice what to eat, they made sure I was eating healthy. But you could be right too, if your body is changing maybe that is related to your dilemma.

before i got pregnant i used to skip my period all the time... i mean sometimes i would go 2 months without it. and when i did get it sometimes it only lasted 2 days! everyones differant and skipping a period is perffectly normal no matter how long youve had it... if youre too worried about it being soo irregular, get on the pill. most times that helps to regulate you.

if you are facing any stress, that can cause you to miss or be late with your period, i know some people that have started their periods, then it has stopped for a year then started back as normal. If you are worried go talk to a doctor.

Have you had any big changes in the level of your exercise?
Girls who are athletes, for example seasoned runners that run for extended times, often don't have periods.
