I need to use Windows Transfer to get the old info off my old lap top on to my new one. Problem is the monitor screen of my old lap top is busted. I tried to hook up my parents regular monitor to my lap top and it won't work. What do I do??

u hook up the monitor and than press the function key and than press the F8 key...

make sure the monitor on your laptop is closed when you hook it up to the other monitor. open you r laptop hit power after connecting the monitor, then close the lid. if that doesnt work, you may try taking the hard drive out of your laptop and putting it into another with a working screen

Take broken laptop hard drive out of it and connect it to your new laptop.

it wont paintings at same time, reason there will be 2 issues attempting to get from pc. i on no account tried this.yet a chum has and he or she suggested that it wont paintings until you employ one after the other.
