It is weird. When I have a huge argument with people which involves name calling, I get some sort of a high. Also when people hate me (which is very common, because people tend to think that I am oddly happy... and weird... my nickname is smiley even though I tend to curse like a sailor and blurt out weird things) it tends to make me feel... uhh.. almighty. For instance, I know that one of my teachers hate me, but when he was bitchin' at the editors before the school bell rang, I just wanted to laugh so hard... only because I knew that it would bother him... my boyfriend's friends (whom are girls) tend to hate me as well. They say rude things when I am around... I don't say anything ('cause i'll go all psycho), but I smile and walk away.

Is this normal?

If it's a physical sort of high you're talking about... maybe it's adrenaline.

"Normal" is always a matter of perspective. Getting to your main question, the reason that you like feeding off of negative energies, is because you're a negative person. I'm not trying to offend you, I'm just basing this off of what you've stated. It's not all bad, though. The universe needs negative people as well as positive people so that we maintain our "balance". So, you keep being the person you are as long as it truly makes you happy (and isn't just some sort of a defense mechanism you use because you just don't know how to deal with or relate to others). You may not want to hear this, but I have a sneaking suspiscion that there's probably a very nice person that's hiding underneath all of those "layers" of negativity. Psycho, huh? Okay.

It's actually very normal...there's an adrenaline rush that comes with each argument, and each time you "win", you get that great feeling of being right, which we all enjoy.

It's not the greatest way to be, though...I find that it's just as much fun to enjoy the conversation to begin with, and I get a great high from finding a solution that works for everybody, when I can. Also, as much fun as I have being right, I have found that it's better to have a big support network, and allowing others to be right sometimes has significantly increased my network. Other people are more likely to help you when they feel you respect & value their input.

Tee hee...Psychic vampire...Great concept! But it only works on willing victims, so don't get too caught up in it!

Don't know if you are normal, but I do know that you are in Great Company! I was thrashed everyday in Recruit Training for smiling. I think it is a reaction to stress that involves endorphins....either way, if you EVER go to boot camp, watch out..the Drill Instructors HATE IT when you smile when being yelled at!

However, it does help when dealing with the jackasses of the world...so I consider it a blessing! You can tear their heads off while grinning away!
:D

Well, we're all different in many ways, so while this isn't within the norm, it's not really all that strange, either. The oddest things make me want to laugh, too, like people that take themselves too seriously..hehe

Spiritually speaking...it sounds like you have a controlling spirit. When you work at...at then see the fruit of your efforts...to tick people off...you are getting off at feeling in control.
