Gta:San Andreas is the latest out on consoles. and GTA:Vice City Stories is the latest on psp.
From first to last it should be GTA, GTA2, GTA:London 1969, GTA3, GTA:Vice city, GTA:San Andreas, GTA:Liberty City Stories and GTA:Vice City Stories. I hope that answers your questions.

GTA liberty city stories is the newist but I reccomend GTA San Andreas because you can do a lot of stuff like swim and ride bikes and finally you can compete in races.

I vote San Andreas. It is the biggest, most in depth game of the series by a long shot.
If you only ever bought one of them, I recommend this one.

San Andreas is by far the best of the series.
