Tsk...tsk...bathroom humor. I am shocked!
Personally, I very much prefer to mix it up -- sometimes paper over the top, sometimes dangling behind; even like to invent new positions, from time to time, just to keep things interesting. With a little creativity, it's amazing how many ways the roll fits on the spindle...

Dangling behind the roll. Every time I pull on one that's over the top, the whole blasted roll comes off and goes flying across the bathroom or rest room. You ever tried to retrieve enough paper to use from one that's gone under the stall wall to who knows where? And don't you know...They never put more than one roll out at a time.

That's so weird....I was just thinking the same thing today when I changed rolls. I wonder what is the appropriate way? I prefer mine over the top but either way, my cat will attack the toilet paper and it all unravels. Burns my butt!!
