My ex sent my 5 year old a Verizon cell phone, can he record conversations?

I don't know if he can record conversations, but it could have a GPS system in it which means he can track your son anywhere from his computer even if the phone is turned off.

No he can't record your conversation's unless he has the proper equiptment. Things like a digital scanner thats setup
for cell frequency's and a finder so he can lock in on your cell
frequency but he also would need another reciever so he could pick up both sides of the conversation he would probably have to spend around $1500 - $2000 to be able to do that and then know enough to operate the stuff properly.

if it beeps every mintue then it's set to beep because it is letting the person know that a minute has gone by on the phone but you can turn mintue feature off by going to settings I think and then going to alert sounds, but if he is recording the conversation, then I don't think you can hear that cuz if he calls or your 5 yrs. old calls him and their talking he can go to options while on the phone with him and record what he says but like on the phone I have it only records what the other person says not what you say, bu I have an LG phone but that's just what mine does. It may need to be charged.

If you are not sure, take the phone to a Verizon shop and ask about the fetures.

He can get a list of the call received and made since he pays the bills.

The phone is in your house and your son is 5. Turn it off if it is bothering your or distracting your child from what he needs to do.

its too young for him to have a phone. He can easily checked who he calls by checkin the phone records. If it beeps, it might need to be charge. If you arent sure, just bring it to the phone shop and ask them about it.
