tide cheer and woolite have special detergents for dark clothes, but you should also follow these tips:
-wash only in cold
-don't use fabric softener or dryer sheets
-hang or lie flat to dry. if you must use dryer, do a low-heat setting. it also helps to just dry for about 20-30 mins to get the dampness out, then lie flat or hang

Tide, Cheer, and Woolite all make specialty detergents for dark clothing that work well. Also remember to always wash dark colors in cold water, that keeps them from fading too.

They all lie. As soon as clothes hit water you're sunk. Use a mild soap, like baby shampoo, without the harsh chemicals that cut dirt and grease as they are your enemy. Cold water and dry inside not in the sun.

The best way to keep black, black and also your colours bright is to hang them inside out on the line. After awhile you will notice the inside is faded but the outside has kept it's colour better.

Woolite darke worked very well! I would rebuy it again! I just don't have any dark black or dark blue pants or clothes right now.

I use cheer. They also have tide. Read the front of your detergent box and it will tell you there.
