I have a 1985 Chrysler Lebaron K car and it is in good shape except the power door lock switches are worn out, and I need new or rebuilt ones. Problem is that the Chrysler Dealer doesn't carry them anymore, and junkyards don't carry them either, and if they did, they may not be any better than the ones I have. Is there any clubs for Mopar stuff that would help out someone with a K car, since it really isn't a classic yet? I get the feeling that the diehard Mopar types would snob me with my lowly K car!

The door lock switch on your car should be an armrest mounted switch, which should be part number 3747935. The number should be on your old switches.

It fit several different body styles from 1984 to 1989, and was used for door locks and convertible top switches.

Go to http://www.arizonaparts.com/ to get them.

There's also one on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170066865945

I definitely have continuously loved the appearance of Chrysler products yet have under no circumstances owned one which did not have transmission issues. The Iaccoca field replaced right into somewhat of trash. No ask your self they have fallen again down. GM all started messing up their engines in 1968. it really is been down hill ever in view that. i replaced into continuously a Chevy guy till i purchased a sparkling Cavalier in 1982. The union worker did not tighten the bolts on the transmission and a bolt fell out leaking each of the fluid causing it to snatch up. i have not offered yet another Chevy in view that. do not believe that doing a nasty pastime at artwork doesn't value your corporation corporation. One individual providing detrimental high quality lost the corporation of one customer for 27 years and that i'm no longer the in person-friendly words one. If it were one bolt, i'd have regarded at it a a fluke, yet i got here across each of the blots holing the housing should be bumped off with assistance from hand. I said a sparkling ford in the showroom with the paint chipping off the trim. some those who have a undeniable pastime strengthen an risky attitude in the route of artwork and opt to be fired, yet are secure with assistance from grasping unions. this isn't for the strong of the organisation or the strong of the country. financial disaster of GM is in tremendous area by way of a vote on the product high quality. some undesirable overpaid union workers made it undesirable for something. i will not purchase one.

You might want to search on turbododge.com and check with Shelby-Dodge Automotive Club branches. Believe it or not, K-cars do have a following, and some of them may have bought up the last of the switch gear.

call around to as many scrap-yards as you can
who deal in american cars.there are many old junkers
with good parts, that still work perfectly well.
in some cases, you might have to clean out the old switches
with contact cleaner.
also try e-bay, they have thousands of parts worldwide.
