Not all rednecks hate blacks and hispanics. The term redneck has been stereotyped a lot. Redneck, in modern usage, predominantly refers to a particular stereotype of people who may be found in many regions of the United States or Canada. Originally limited to Appalachia and the American South, and later the Ozarks and Rocky Mountains, this stereotype is now widespread in other states and the Canadian provinces. The word can be used either as a pejorative or as a matter of pride, depending on context.

Okay, I am the chief redneck, and authorized to speak of behalf of all other rednecks. The very term "redneck" refers to those of us usually in the south who have a strong work ethic and get our necks sunburned working outdoors in the sun. I can tell you we don't have any problem at all with black people or Hispanics, although the ones here illegally tend to annoy us.

The only people we have problems with as a group are level ones with minus 28 points in Yahoo answers that don't have a clue what they are talking about, and come in with prejudiced terms throwing around generalizations which are not based in fact.

Have a nice day now, you hear?

Thou fool! You belittle 'rednecks' because they are 'racist' by making a racist (type) statement. I live in southern AZ and a lot of these 'rednecks' are hispanic. Most of the cowboys down here are hispanic. You clearly are a brain-washed dolt. If you really want to experience intolerance, go to San Francisco and say something unpopular or something the thought police has forbidden.

I have friends that are rednecks. You need to find a book and a corner and start learning.

Over generalization. good job.

I'd like to know why you feel the need to ask this question multiple times, though.

If you're going to take a stab at 'rednecks' at least don't make yourself look stupid in the process.

Some of them are fine, hard-working people. Too bad the word has turned into a pejorative.
