Flip Saunders is a great regular season coach but when it comes to playoff gameplans and the necessary adjustments that need to be done to win a playoff series he is below average.which is way it took him many years just to get out of the first round.

Flip Saunders is a terrible coach. I really didn't think the Pistons were that dumb. If the Timberwolves, who were not even in the playoff picture, got rid of him because they felt he wasn't taking them to the next level, what made the Piston organization want to get him when Larry Bird left. The Pistons started off as basically the best team in the NBA, now with Flip Saunders, they are probably 6th or 7th. He has caused nothing but trouble; he's the reason why their defensive player of the year, Ben Wallace, left the organization. If the Pistons want to get back to their great level of play, they really need to get rid of Flip.

With practically the same team from the year before, Detroit should have won the title without a coach last year. But seeing as how uncoachable Garnett and the Timberwolves are doing without Flip, I don't think he did any worse there than anyone else would have.

Larry Brown is better. Saunders just brought Pistons to the conference finals, but Brown brought them to the Finals itself. now tell me is Saunders good enough now?

i think he's a great coach because in his first year, he got the pistons to the best nba record and also a franchise record

y he is good he lead minnesota to west finals and detroit to east finals
