We have had much success using online ads on sites such as adultfriendfinder.com or swinglifestyle.com This allows you and your spouse to sift through other couples' profiles, getting to know them, getting to know what others are into/not into, and prompting plenty of revealing discussion between the two of you (which is VITALLY important).
If you're looking for a fun night out, try looking up a reputable club (you can find club listings and ratings on the site below) and going for an evening to just observe and hang out together.
