For all their supposed lack of passion, NBA players are remarkably well-trained, and execute the game at a much higher level. The Atlanta Hawks are a relatively awful NBA team, but they would have no problem handling this year's NCAA champion (whoever that might be).
Those who say the NBA lacks intensity of NCAA basketball watch a small portion of NCAA games. They are only watching the marquee matchups, as opposed to the litany of Northwestern-Minnesota type matchups.
I was toggling between the Pistons/Mavs and the NCAA tournament yesterday. It was like watching two different sports. It's that different.

WOW, i cant believe any of you would say that college basketball is more entertaining than the nba. yes college has passion and doesnt have corruption like the nba BUT when u r talking about ENTERTAINMENT, the nba skiessss over college. the talent levels are astronamically different with the nba having way better talent. kobe lebron tracy gilbert would all score 80 on any college team. How can u say undersized slower guys are more entertaing than big fast high rising pure athletes. If this was asked 20 years ago it would be different because people went to school for 4 years so the competition was much better but barely any of the most skilled players stay for even 2 so U will never see the dunks, passes, or clutch shots in college that u see in the nba. Its not even a question, the nba is much better

I would have to agree that the NBA is better based on the talent factor. Yes, college ball is very exciting and most players are playing for the love of the game and to win. Let's face it though, only about handful of college players are even good enough to make to the pros, and only a handful of them goes to be superstars.
If college is so great then we would see so many high school kids and 1st and 2nd year kids going to the pros. People argue that these kids are only playing for the love of the game but how can that be if they leave college so early instead of getting a good education.
As far as NBA games with teams losing by 50 points, that is also the case in college just not during March Madness. Just like you won't see team getting beat by 50 points in the playoffs.

The level of talent and athleticism. Really, the NBA is (supposed to be) the best college players competing against each other. In theory it's like Kevin Durant and Greg Oden on the same team, right? Of course, the Celtics suck...
I guess another would be the exposure that NBA teams get versus their college counter-parts. Especially college teams that don't make it into the NCAA tournament.

the 24 second shot clock promotes action...quick hitting plays that keep the crowd into it. 35 seconds in college allows for more passing and less action - though the crowds don't care because college students are so loyal and passionate.
also, the 3 point line is WAY TOO close in college, therefore 3 pointers have too much effect on the game. you can be a one-dimensional player (i.e. JJ Redick) and be the player of the year in college just because you can shoot the three..but in the NBA, they've neutralized that advantage.

Listen to this and listen clear, the only reason why people talk about the NBA is beacause it is full of black boys and they make millions. Lets talk about the lack of passion in MLB. How the guys get paid wayyyy more than an average NBA player. When you have 46 OT out of 66 games. You have to be kidding me. Come on it is not a lack of passion. Probably wit some, but majority care, for instance big stars lik Dwayne Wade Care. Lebron James, Gilbert Arenas. Why do you think they go out and hit 30 to 4o points a night!! Like Kobe in the All-Star game he cared so much about playing better than everyone cause he wanted to be the best. Thats what makes him close to MJ. When sportscenter was talking about Lebron not being able to finish, he is now scoring at least 30 somethin points now, just like Cramelo. Even Allen Iverson cares. You people dont get it. These guys want to be the best because of criticism. So they go out and show there *** everyday. People always talks about the NBA. Lets talk about how A-Rod has done horrible lately, to be getting paid more than Carmelo and Kobe bryant put together. Listen to what you people say Mens college basketball will never in a million years be better than the NBA. Period!!!!Stop hating on our black women and men who are great in sports!!!
So there you go, thats what I have to say!!!
There are plenty great athletes!!! Basketball takes more skill tahn any other sport in the world!! It is the best sport ever!!!But listen why would you not want to play for monry these guys have familys.. Kids they need to take care of Too. Everybody has a job why not be in it for money. Its a freakin job!!! Come on!!! They arent just going to risk there bodys as grown men and women to play basketball. That happened when they were on a college campus, not when your an adult!!
Get the pictureeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

NBA games are intense? Maybe in the playoffs, but not the regular season. Case in point: the Sixers 50 point loss to the Rockets last night. College ball kicks the NBAs *** all over the place.

I prefer college ball. I don't really enjoy the NBA. They seem to be just a bunch of show offs. March madness is so better than any NBA championship series.

college ball is better even though the level of talent is no where close to the nba, it is all about playing the game and the thrill of a win. and the fans are so much more hardcore.

A good NBA game is fun to watch, but a regular one is NOTHING compared to a regular college game.
